Online Dating from a Woman’s Perspective

Posted by:

I am always hesitant to give women advice for online dating. Primarily, this is based on conversations I had with dates during my internet dating days. One great conversation starter was to simply talk about the online experience itself. These conversations revealed how very different a woman’s experiences were from mine, although many were similar to one another. While I would compare my experience to searching for that needle in the haystack, these women had experiences more comparable to trudging slowly through a swamp. In addition, I was the first person my wife met from her online dating so while she has great advice to offer in general, she missed out on the trials that many women have gone through. Her experience might be better compared to winning the lottery on the first ticket she bought! I’m not saying the Mega-Millions or anything but at least the daily number.

At any rate, I’ve tried to keep my eye out for dating advice for women from women. I’ve found it more challenging than I had expected to find anything aside from sex advice and other articles from online versions of Cosmo-type magazines (which I am not inclined to put much weight in). Today, though, I finally found an article that I thought was really great. Obviously I hope women check this article out but I suspect guys could gain from reading this as well. Be sure to check out the advice bullets at the bottom which include a risk I had never really considered: falling in love with online dating itself!
