MatchAffinity Free Weekend August 27th to 29th 2010
MatchAffinity will be having a free communication weekend this Bank Holiday weekend, Friday the 27th to Sunday the 29th 2010. All members of MatchAffinity (including non-subscribers) can communicate with other singles for free starting at 4PM on Friday and going until 11:59PM on Sunday night.
For those who are unfamiliar, MatchAffinity is a service for singles in the UK. It takes a mixed approach to online dating: where some dating services pick your matches for you and other dating services let browse everyone, MatchAffinity takes a mixed approach by offering some features of both types. I feel like a broken record but I’ll say it again: if you are considering trying out MatchAffinity this weekend, sign up straight away. The free event will only last so long and most of us only have so much time we can devote to a date site. By signing up early, you can identify the singles you would like to contact and even prepare what you would like to write them when you communicate. This should help put you in a good position after work on Friday to send off some communication before you begin the other activities of your weekend.
For those who already have a free account at MatchAffinity, there is nothing for you to do: you are already prepared to take advantage of the free weekend with your previously created account. That being said, I think the advice discussed above where you plan who you will contact is still worth following.

MatchAffinity Free Weekend: June 4th to June 6th 2010
MatchAffinity, a U.K. base dating service, is having another free weekend starting Friday at 4PM and running until midnight on Sunday June 6th. This will be a great opportunity for U.K. residents to try one of the newest online dating services which has been showing a lot of promise.
Most standard online dating services today separate themselves into one of two categories: sites that concentrate on providing you a limited number of high quality matches and sites that let you browse all members but with less reliability on relationship compatibility. MatchAffinity breaks this mold by offering an extensive personality test to provide you with recommended matches but then allows you to browse all members, not limiting you to those that appear to match with you best. This is a great idea as the services that provide limited matches can be frustrating because of the limited amount of matches while the browsing services often end up with less-than-compatible dates. My recommendation for all free dating events is that singles who plan to take advantage of the free weekend sign up as early as possible. This may sound obvious but many people will wait until the last minute not realizing the commitment completing your personality profile will take. Signing up early means your profile is already ready (and you’ve already identified good matches) when the free weekend begins. I would suggest that if you are on the fence or even if the free event has passed by that you consider signing up: MatchAffinity appears to be making a habit of these free weekends and having a profile ready for the next event will be a benefit.
Match Affinity Free Weekend for UK Singles – Apr 30 to May 2, 2010
For the first time ever, Match Affinity is having a free weekend for singles in the United Kingdom. This free weekend will run from Friday, April 30th at 4pm until midnight on Sunday May 2nd. All users will be able to communicate with each other freely during this event with no payments required. This is a nice change for the U.K. singles out there as most of the free events I see often limited to the United States and Canada.
As I recommend with all free events at dating sites, I believe it is best to sign up for the service ahead of time. By doing so, you can better plan for who you will communicate with and can start the communication process early (you don’t want to be wasting time on Friday afternoon creating an account!). The free weekend just goes by too quickly, especially when some people take longer to respond. Your odds will be much better if you are communicating early and often.
Unlike some other dating services that provide the occasional free weekend, at Match Affinity you will not be limited to who you can contact. While the affinity matching is definitely something that should be taken advantage of, it does not limit you in who you can communicate.
Match Affinity is a relatively new dating service specifically created to create strong relationships for singles in the United Kingdom.
