Two Free Dating Service Events this Weekend

Posted by:

Starting today, January 23rd, there are two free events happening: one at eHarmony and another at Chemistry.com. Both of these events are offering you the ability to use the dating service to communicate with other people for free. Under normal circumstances, both of these dating services provide you matches based on compatibility, but you’re not able to communicate with those matches (unless you subscribe). With these free events, you can now contact your matches…at least for the next few days!

eHarmony

The first service is eHarmony with their free communication weekend. The free communication weekends happen fairly regularly at eHarmony and you case see details on how often these are happening here. At eHarmony, the free event starts January 23rd and runs to January 26th, 2015. This is the second free weekend that eHarmony has offered this month and there have been a total of 10 days this month where eHarmony has offered free communication.

Chemistry

The second service having a free communication event is Chemistry.com. The free weekend at Chemistry starts on January 23rd and runs to the end of the day on the 25th. As with eHarmony, the free events at Chemistry focus on giving you an opportunity to contact other people on the dating service, which is something you normally can’t do with a free account.

Trying Both Services

Both eHarmony and Chemistry are dating services that focus on giving you matches that they determine will be most compatible. The fact that they’re both having free time this weekend is, in my mind, a great time to try them both. This is especially true if you’ve never tried either of them – this weekend you have a chance to compare the two and determine if you think one could work better for you.

Also, keep in mind that from January 1st to Valentine’s Day, online dating is at its busiest. My opinion is that there’s never a bad time to try online dating…but this time of year is a particularly good time to try it. There will be more people on the services which, particularly for these types of dating services, means that you should have more matches and more opportunities to start some conversations (and maybe even schedule some first dates!)

Best of luck to anyone giving the services a try this weekend!
