Below is what I would call a “Summer Dating Infographic”. This infographic is actually titled “Summer Romance on a Budget”…but there’s not a ton of budgeting advice in it! Still it’s fun and interesting. These graphics can get a tad repetitive, showing the same data with new images, but this one has some new statistics I’ve not seen so I wanted to share it.
One area where they did talk about budgeting is not feeling as if you have to do dinner on every first date. I couldn’t agree more with this. When I started dating online, I felt that if I didn’t take a woman to dinner then she would think I was cheap. Over time, though, I realized this was a non-issue and started meeting for coffee instead. This was a great move: it did save me money but also when the date went badly, it didn’t have to last for an hour (or more). We met and if it wasn’t working, we went our separate ways without the night having to drag out too much.
