eHarmony is having a free communication weekend starting Wednesday, July 4th and running until Sunday, July 8th 2012. This is five full days to try communicating with your matches on eHarmony (so it’s more of a free event than a free weekend). Note that this event is specifically for the US.
We are starting to see a few patterns with the free weekends this year. First, they’ve been around holidays (Memorial Day for example) and they’ve also generally be occurring one week after the free weekends in Canada. Now, I’m in no position to say that this trend will continue…however, they are things to take into consideration if you’re waiting for the next free weekend to arrive.
Also, since this is an extended free weekend, I think it’s a great time to try if you’ve been holding out in the past. Perhaps it’s obvious but I say this because there’s more time to get from that first communication step to the first date. That being said, you may want to read the article on the rules for free events at eHarmony as different free events can have different features available (or not available). Regardless of the rules, I think if you use the service actively during the free weekend then you should have a feel if it’s the type of service that could work for you.
